Meta Monster v3.0
Meta Monster is a small utility that helps you create the "Meta Tags" that are read by most of today's search engines.
Operating Systems: Win9x/XP/Vista/7/8/10
tells the search engine what your page or site is about.
For the search engine to understand what your page is about, you need to write a good description. When Google's algorithm decides a description is badly written or inaccurate, it will replace that description with its own version of what is on the page. Wouldn't you prefer to describe your site to potential customers or visitors using your own words rather than leaving it in Google's artificial hands?
words that people would search for to locate your site.
A long time ago in a galaxy far, far away, the “keywords” Meta tag was a critical element for early search engines. Much like the dinosaurs, this tag is a fossil from ancient search engine times.
To avoid hurting your site, your best option is to never add more than a few words to this tag.
Days to revisit in:
this tells the spider/robot when to come back.
This tells the spider/robot that has hit your site when to come back. This is great if you are updating your content roughly ever 30 days. If you set it to 30 then should grab the new content once you've updated it. If you update for example every 90 days then do not set it to 2 days because if you do and the spider/robot keeps coming back and finding nothing new. Your site could get punished for wasting the resources of the search engine.
shows who wrote the document.
In the Meta Author tag it will reference the name of the person who created the HTML or XML document for the site being viewed. If you use the Meta Author tag, it is recommended that you use the author's first and last names.
